                               RESOLUTION NO. 19619
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 
                   (FINAL), CONTRACT NO. P-1-92, BITUMINOUS 
                   PAVEMENT RESURFACING, WITH C. W. MATTHEWS 
                   CONTRACTING COMPANY, INC., WHICH CHANGE 
                   ORDER WILL INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY 
                   THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SEVEN 
                   HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE AND 40/100 DOLLARS 
                   ($328,739.40), FOR A FINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT 
                   OF ONE MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND 
                   NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,500,000.00), AND TO 
                   INCREASE THE CONTRACT TIME BY SIXTY (60) 
                   CALENDAR DAYS, CHANGING THE COMPLETION DATE 
                   TO NOVEMBER 30, 1992.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
       Change Order No. 1 (Final), Contract No. P-1-92, Bituminous 
       Pavement Resurfacing, with C. W. Matthews Contracting Company, 
       Inc., which change order will increase the contract amount by 
       $328,739.40, for a final contract amount of $1,500,000.00, and 
       will increase the contract time by 60 calendar days, changing the 
       completion date to November 30, 1992.
